SINGAPORE, 19 March 2007 - Students from SIM University's (UniSIM) Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics degree programme will benefit from the collaboration between the university and SPSS Singapore (SPSS stands for Statistical Package for Social Sciences). UniSIM and SPSS Singapore will sign an MOU on 21 March 2007.

Under the MOU, SPSS Singapore will collaborate with UniSIM by providing training materials, discounted software products and consultants with the expertise to support teaching. Students who perform well in the programme will also be awarded prizes sponsored by SPSS Singapore.

SPSS' software and solutions are highly popular among academics and practitioners. The company is well-known for its user-friendly software and consultancy services and is also a leading worldwide provider of predictive analytics software and solutions.

Members of the public who wish to know more about Business Analytics and the BSc in Business Analytics degree offered by UniSIM School of Business can attend a talk entitled "A Primer on Business Analytics," conducted by Associate Professor Koh Hian Chye on 24 March 2007, 2pm at Lecture Theatre 2.12, Level 2, SIM University, 461 Clementi Road.
